Why do you cry?
The troubles in your life
are not so bad
as a little girl in a broken home
only a mother to support her needs
as she journeys into the medical unknown
and grows up to many drugs
carrying on the family tradition.
Why do you cut?
your troubles
with boys
and school
and strict parents
be thankful
the boys dont rape you
the school dosnt hate you
your parents dont beat you
you live an easier life than my own
so be grateful and remember
there are those who would gladly trade places.
